During the pandemic
As lockdown eases, on Sundays we are meeting in-person with social distancing measures at 10am (also livestreamed), and at 6.30pm (with Student and 20s+30s groups, and youth zoom). Booking is essential via our calendar. There are online groups midweek, and podcasts and videos on our Holy Trinity YouTube Channel. The resources page signposts further good resources to encourage your faith.
New course, new city, new friends, new church - it can all feel a bit overwhelming!
We are holding Freshers' Welcome Sundays on every Sunday in October where you can meet our current students and our student team. If you are on the UEA Campus please join others by meeting at 5.15pm at Bus Stop A in University Drive to either take the Number 25 bus, or our walking bus leaving at 5.30pm, to church ahead of our 6.30pm Service and Student Group. To let us know you plan to join us please sign up for the Freshers' Meet here. If not near campus just come along and meet our student welcome team before the service! It also helps us if you sign in for the 6.30pm service on the same calendar date please.
At Holy Trinity we worship the unchanging God who has revealed Himself uniquely in Jesus and we long for students to meet and mature in Him as we encounter Him through His Word. We are an Evangelical Anglican Church, unashamed of the Gospel and committed to quality Bible teaching, applied to life.
We have a thriving student group that meets after the 6.30pm evening service every week in term time at the Church. We continue to meet with social distancing for a Bible study in small groups and it is a great place to make new friends. During the week, we encourage all our students to meet 1:1 to study God's word and for pastoral support. Many of our students are involved in serving at Holy Trinity, and are linked to church families for food and friendship.
Hear from one of our current students:
My name’s Ellie, and I’m a third year History of Art student. I’ve been part of Holy Trinity since I first started coming in my first year - I remember being made to feel so welcomed and at home the first Sunday I came, and I’ve been coming ever since!
Since then, God has grown my faith so much through amazing Christ-centred Bible teaching, that has built my knowledge and love of Jesus week by week. I’ve also been so blessed by the Student Group, where I’ve been hugely encouraged in my faith by amazing fellowship with other Christian students, and all the fun we’ve had together! I’m so thankful to God for settling me at HT, and I’m so excited to see how He is going to work through the church in my final year in Norwich!
