Small Groups
Small Groups are an important part of church life at Holy Trinity. Groups of approximately 10 people meet together weekly in homes around the city. Small Groups members encourage one another to grow as followers of Jesus through a time of fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.
Most groups meet for about two hours on Wednesday evenings during term time. A few groups meet at other times of the week. A group with a creche for young children meets on a Tuesday morning. On the first Wednesday evening of the month, the groups all come together for the church-wide Prayer Focus meeting.
The Small Group ministry is overseen by the clergy, who take overall responsibility for the pastoral work and teaching in the groups. Each group has one or two leaders, many of whom also host their groups. All group members commit to serving one another practically, pastorally and in prayer.
The Bible study programme usually follows one of the current Sunday sermon series. During the course of a year groups will usually cover a section of the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Gospels.
